From the day we met Kevin and Sue, we had complete confidence that their professionalism and commitment to quality would lead to an outcome we would love.

Our project is finished, and we are delighted. Projected schedules were kept, and designated craftsmen took pride in their work. When our insistence on a specific tile forced delays, Kevin was understanding and never even suggested that we accept a second choice. Sue was invaluable in sharing design advice. She let me lead the way and always assured me that my ideas were valuable.

When I had doubts about my selection for the bathroom countertop, Sue collected and brought other samples to my home (twice). Her investment of time helped reassure me that my original choice was the best selection.

To us, a very important fact about Sumner Homes is that it is a local, family business. Because the project was done in the summer, Kevin and Sue's sons often worked alongside them. We value making investments in young people, and we saw the benefits that Sue and Kevin's sons experienced because of their parents' mentoring.

Can't say enough great things about Sumner Homes. We had them do some work in our house adding a new room, adding a wall in another room, and adding a fireplace. They were professional, on time, great to work with through our entire process. Not to mention they had an accurate quote back to us within days of stopping by and ultimately we came in slightly under that initial estimate. We loved working with Kevin and Sue for our kitchen remodel. Kevin was able to work us into the schedule in a timely manner. Sue took us shopping for counters, flooring and backsplash. She was very helpful in making recommendations and helping us select products. Kevin was very good at providing a timeline for work and communicating any changes or pertinent information. I whole heartedly give Sumner Homes my endorsement! After interviewing a few companies for a master bath remodel, I ended up with Sumner Homes for 2 reasons. One, I had personal friends that highly recommended them, and two, they were competitively priced with other similar companies. Honestly, having friends that had hired them for multiple projects spoke loudly to me. And now I am one of those people! The master bath remodel went so smoothly. Kevin was always quick to respond to questions, easy to talk to, and so professional. In addition to all her design expertise, Sue was awesome at giving suggestions and great to have for painting and final touches. We were so pleased with the bathroom remodel that I didn't even look elsewhere when it was time to do an entire main floor and kitchen remodel. Even in the midst of a pandemic, with supply chain issues, etc. Sumner Homes managed to get the project done in a timely manner. All of the contractors that came in- drywall, ceiling, plumbing, electrical, flooring, tiling, etc, were easy to work with, friendly, neat and did a great job. A big plus was getting to work with Charles Cabinets on both of our projects- stunning, custom made cabinetry, by a local company.

Sumner Homes did two complete renovation remodeling projects for us, our kitchen and our master bath. Both projects were gut to the walls and rebuild and both turned out fantastic. I would not hesitate to bring them back, should we have another project down the road. One item that particularly set Sumner apart from other builders we interviewed was their response to our thinking on the master bath remodel. They were the only builder willing to explain that, while our ideas could be implemented, they didn't think we'd be happy with the end result and why. This told me that our satisfaction was a top priority for them. In the end, we are definitely happier with the design they suggested.

We contracted Sumner Homes in 2011 for a bathroom remodel. We ended up adding kitchen counter and flooring to our contract. We were very satisfied with the craftsmanship and price that Sumner Homes provided. Since then we have referred Sumner Homes to two of our very close friends for their remodel work. In 2020 we had Sumner Homes remodel our lower level bath/shower. Again the crew did an excellent job. We were looking at replacing our upper level windows and Sumner Homes came up with a price and style that fit our budget. Last year our A/C system was on the brink of failure I called Sumner Homes for a A/C contractor referral. We have been very pleased in all the work that Kevin (Sumner Homes) has done for us. We will not hesitate calling Sumner Homes, in the future, for any of our home remodel or repair needs.

We hired Sumner to do a full remodel of our kitchen - we went down to the bare walls and started from there. We had a vision, and Sue's design expertise was key to bringing that vision to life. Her advice was always spot-on. Before the project even started, we were given a schedule and a budget, and even in these days of supply chain issues and inflation, the project remained on schedule and within budget. Kevin and Sue were responsive to any questions or concerns, and made us feel like we were their only clients. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and would not hesitate to hire Sumner again for any future remodeling needs.

The whole project required creativity, remodeling expertise, much electrical work,etc. Kevin was great to work with and Sumner Homes team was excellent. Follow-up was great...glitches addressed quickly and it all turned out perfect! We will refer them anytime and will contract with them on any of our vacation home project in the future!
